“Wood”n’t you know it? A snake pet!
This review only covers the new content found on the paid side of the reward track – given the stuff on the free side is, well, free, there’s no reason not to aim for it. These are also all ‘flashback’ items from previous packs and have all been previously covered here.

Not much to note from a crafting perspective. It’s about average for a low tier Wood item.
For hero gear, Fangtian Huaji is somehow worse than the Twicicle Javelin we’ve had since 2021. Plus it’s a Spear on top of that. This should basically never be used outside of Vanity sets.
The precraft is a little obnoxious but not bad. It’s only a T4 and it’s removed about halfway through the Mastery track. Otherwise it’s a pretty average mid-tier craft.
Snake Counselor is an excellent levelling piece. Secondary HP stat on Spellcaster gear is always welcome for giving them a little more bulk to actually survive the quest.
From a crafting perspective
Twin Fangs is a pretty great craft. While it is a metal item, the Essence cost drops down to a slightly below average five AND this is on the Mastery track. One of its components is from Cinderlake as well, making it reasonably cheap to craft.
This is a great choice for DI crafting and is comfortably in the top 10 weapons. It’s got a T14 Spirit affinity which is really handy as well.
From a meta perspective
Surprisingly not as universally strong as you would think for a weapon with a CHC secondary stat. Most classes who will be using Crit builds and a Sword are typically running Kiku-Ichimonji, which effectively has a higher CHC stat, grants CD, has higher Attack, AND also has an actual secondary stat.
For Ninja who don’t want to use Kiku due to their naturally high CHC, Elysium Reavers beat this pretty handily due to Dual Wield weapons having such higher Attack compared to Swords. If you’re locked into Swords however, this is a great choice. (Same also mostly applies to Musketeers).
Sword-wielding Samurai who aren’t using Kiku for whatever reason can probably get some good use out of this, but Materia Blade having a defensive secondary stat might be more handy in most situations.

- Danger Noodle pet!
- Twin Fangs seems like a fantastic item until you look at its competition, unfortunately.
- Slytherin into some comfy slippers.
We made it through this entire post without a ‘ssssss’ joke.
