Impackt: 1001 Nights

Open the door and let Aladdin

Mega Pack

Princely Attire (T15 Light Armor)
Pepper Dolma (T5 Meal)
Princely Bed / Princely Nightstand (Indoor Decorations)
Prince Vest / Prince Pants (Avatar Items)

Blueprint

From a crafting perspective

Pepper Dolma is a pretty average Herb / Oil craft. Not much to note, although all of its ingredients can be reduced via Mastery and Ascension.

This is the 34th Meal we’ve gotten, which means it is now possible to fully max out the Meals Ascension track if you happen to have all of them.

For DI, it’s not a Spell.

From a meta perspective

We somehow now have five T5 Meals. This isn’t quite a new record, but it’s close (There are a handful of other items lines / tiers that have five entries, but almost all of those are getting help from chest BP items.)

It has reversed Attack and Defense compared to Zongzi Snack, making it the best option if your levelling hero is using a Meal and wants it to lean more towards Defense (which is admittedly getting really specific). This doesn’t really fill a useful niche otherwise.

From a crafting perspective

Princely Attire uses a pretty normal combination of Leather and Silk, making it fairly easy to fit into your crafting rotation. It uses Astral Fabric instead of Timewarped stuff, making its component needs a little cheaper than usual. The Fabric cost is a tad high at 5, but can be reduced to 3 pretty early in the Mastery tree. Overall it’s a pretty good crafting option.

What did we say about Sia’s Outfit?

“Owing heavily to its Evasion stat, this is a great option for DI and pretty handily crushes any of the other options if you’re not enchanting. It’s still great even if you’re not enchanting your stuff, but Evasion doesn’t scale with enchants for DI power so other options might still be better.”

That, but replace “Evasion” with “Crit Chance”.

From a meta perspective

To answer what’s likely the question you’re reading this Impackt for… meh. Usage-wise, CHC in new and unusual slots is generally very handy for crit-based attackers. That being said, it also comes with the significant drawback of losing out on what could be an extremely valuable secondary survivability stat. If your Rogues already have enough survivability that you’re able to use a CHC item, then it would be a good trade to swap out their Voidwalkers / Betrayer’s Hands / Bleakspire Amulet for another option in that slot and replace the CHC with Princely Attire (due to it having higher Defense than any of those).

If your Rogue is already struggling with survivability, then this will not help. Remember: DPS drops to 0 if you’re a corpse.

Superior Pack

Princely Turban (T15 Rogue Hat)
Aura of Sands (T7 Aurasong)
Glass Mashrabiya (Wall Decoration)
Wind Tower (Outdoor Decoration)
Prince’s Carpet / Prince’s Chamber (Flooring / Wallpaper)

Blueprints

From a crafting perspective

Aura of Sands is an Aurasong which makes it a little more resource-intensive to craft than other items at the same tier. That said, it’s a fine craft for what it is.

This is the 18th Aurasong, which means we now have enough to reach the second Surcharge Energy Reduction amount in the Ascension track. If you have all other Auras already, it might be worth considering getting this for that reason.

Champion equipment cannot be donated to the Airship.

From a Meta perspective

It’s always nice to have pack Aurasongs due to them granting useful secondary stats to our Champions, but this one offers Attack which is a little underwhelming.

The effect of 10% Attack, 2% CHC, and 2% Eva is pretty strong. It’s basically the T7’s 10% Attack and the T13’s CHC / Eva smashed together, making this a direct upgrade over Aura of Flames (although admittedly not by a lot). The T9 Aura of Sparks will probably beat it, however.

From a crafting perspective

Princely Turban is about as standard of a T15 Leather craft as you can get. “Normal” resource combination, 11 Essence reduced to 9, one T15 / one Timewarped component, the works. It’s a perfectly average craft.

What did we say about Scavenger’s Goggles in the last Impackt?

“For DI, any item with Evasion or CHC is very much worth considering. This is the #2 Misc Armor item (no enchants) thanks to having Evasion on it.”

That, but this item has CHC on it.

From a Meta perspective

Usage-wise, this is basically the same story as the Princely Attire earlier in this pack. It’s really useful for getting some more CHC if your Rogues need it due to it being in an unusual slot and it’s worth considering shuffling your gear around to use this instead of Voidwalkers / Betrayer’s Hands / Bleakspire Amulet.

If you need survivability, skip it.

Summary

  • Average crafting options overall with not much to note.
  • Princely Turban and Attire can both be extremely useful due to granting CHC in unusual slots, but as usual with items like this, don’t focus too heavily on that or your Rogues will drop dead in a light breeze. Still, they’re great options for both normal hero use (if you can get enough bulk elsewhere) and DI (where bulk doesn’t matter).
  • Aura of Sands has a surprisingly stacked Aura effect. It also looks pretty sweet, if you don’t mind the swirling sand getting everywhere.
  • New low tier options for the Meal and Aurasong lines allow for great Ascension bonuses.

Final Score

Mega Pack: 8/10
Superior Pack: 9/10
