Back in my day…

Warrior Assegai (T7 Spear)
Dama Mask/Carved Stool (Decorations)
Shuka Dress/Traditional Sandals (Avatar Items)
Blueprints
Fairly cheap to craft and it does fill in a gap in the tier 7 spear range – there are very few dual-stat items for melee (i.e. warlord users) at that level so the Warrior Assegai is a welcome addition.
From a crafting perspective
The Elongo Shield has some pretty hefty Ether reduction – you can drop it down to requiring just 15 Ether (though this is split across 2 ascension milestones and 1 mastery) with the trade-off there being no reduction for the ironwood and it’s a non-standard pairing for the line.
Not quite as awesome as Hotshot Carbine but still a fantastic crafting option.
From a meta perspective
Yes, what we totally needed was yet another shield™. In terms of base stats it’s a flat upgrade from the Titan Shield and for classes such as Mercenary this can work well.
However the Elongo should not be used on a Lord (or Bishop for that matter) – the lack of affinity is a big no go because:
1) you’re going to have to make up that missing Light affinity elsewhere which you don’t really have options for and more importantly
2) because Titan Shield has affinity it gets more stats when enchanted with a Light element, making it better than the Elongo. See below:

Keep it away from Light-affinity classes at all cost.

The Elongo Shield Ogun’s Onyx Ring has some pretty hefty Ether reduction – you can drop it down to requiring just 13 Ether (though this is split across 2 ascension milestones and 1 mastery) with the trade-off there being no reduction for the ironwood steel and it’s a non-standard pairing for the line.
Not quite as awesome as Hotshot Carbine but still a fantastic crafting option.
From a meta perspective
You spend all tier waiting for a dual-stat ring then 2 come along in fairly quick succession. With it offering the same attack as the Crystalice Loop this comes down to a case of if your hero needs more health or more defence – pick Crystalice if you have defence-boosting skills, Ogun’s if you have health-boosting skills. If in doubt/have neither go with Ogun’s.
And completely ignore Ogun’s if you’re a Grandmaster cause no water affinity makes them sad.

Summary
- They added a lower tier item that actually has a purpose
- Elongo Shield is a pretty great crafting options and a flat upgrade over Titan Shield but avoid if the class is Light-attribute.
- Ogun’s takes the best ring title but avoid on Grandmasters..

I gotta say I highly appreciate y’all’s item breakdowns and humor. Especially as a person who isn’t great with number crunching, this has been invaluable. Thanks

At most
Both of the high tier blueprints are pretty great crafting options – the limitation on end-game crafting is nearly always your rare resource regeneration rate so having options that can reduce that significantly is wonderful.
Whilst the Elongo has its issues with Light-attribute classes it’s the best survival shield option for the other classes that can wield then. Whilst some of those do have the option of cloaks (and can therefore wear Sakura Cloak instead) they don’t have their own skill which could buff them (no equivalent of Shield Master.) I’ve asked before about this and was basically told don’t expect premium lines to ever get their own mastery skills (which is fair but does suck a bit.)
The Ogun’s Onyx Ring offers great stats all-round. Health-boosting rings tend to work out better than defence-boosting ones (though this is something you should ideally always sim yourself for your specific skill line-ups) it’s just a shame they didn’t get an affinity as well.
Whilst I’m all for trashing packs when they’re awful (see the 0/10 I gave to Staff of Merriment when it released) I’d say that’s not a fair score for this pack – useful items that are bis, solid to craft, no tricky precrafting stuff. 4 and 5 would be too low in my opinion.
Well, selling the “same” pack twice does not sound right to me
