From a crafting perspective

King Crab Appetizer is fairly expensive in terms of resource cost for a T6 Meal, costing roughly 30% more Herbs and Oil than the baseline Cheeseburger. The component cost is also a little high. Overall it’s not really a great craft.

Nothing special for DI as it’s a non-Spell Accessory.

From a meta perspective

We now have four different options for T6 Meals, and this is an item line with a locked stat combo (why, Kabam). It has the highest Attack of its competition but Meals generally aren’t an amazing item type. It will work if you need it, but otherwise skip.

From a crafting perspective

No Timewarped component, a “normal” resource combination, a -3 Essence milestone instead of the usual -2, AND it ditches a Jungle component in favor of a Volcano one? Magmatic Kelp is a phenomenal herb craft.

DI, not a Spell, next.

From a meta perspective

For item lines that have a locked stat combo (aka every item in the line has the exact same stat pairing, Attack / HP for Herbal Medicine), any variants tend to lean more towards one stat or the other. Magmatic Kelp keeps the same 315 Attack as the baseline Twig of Two Fates, but bumps up the base HP value. This is a pretty great option for any hero looking to get some survivability without losing a ton of offensive power.

From a crafting perspective

Crushtacean Pincers have a lot in common with Magmatic Kelp, which is a good thing since that’s a great craft. This one also has a -3 Essence milestone and ditches the usual Timewarped component for a lower tier dungeon component. A slight downside is that Dual Wield items tend to cost a little more resources, but it’s nothing too bad.

Dual Wield items are roughly equivalent to Guns in terms of stat strength, making Crushtacean Pincers a great option for DI.

From a meta perspective

Titan Admiral Arms is a Sword and Dagger, and Crushtacean Pincers is an Axe and Mace. Between the two items, we now have every Melee type weapon accounted for in Dual Wields this tier (sad Spear Master noises). Axes and Maces are both generally weaker weapon types, so any hero locked into using either is pretty happy to have a DW option.

From a crafting perspective

After two other great crafting options in this pack that have a little extra going for them, Obsidian Lava Cake goes back to T15 basics. The 4 Timewarped components can be reduced to 3 and 11 Essence drops down to 9 with Ascension.

As far as non-Spell Accessory items go, Obsidian Lava Cake is actually really good for DI. Desserts have a lot of stat power and the Evasion secondary stat lets this item punch well above its weight class. You probably have better given all T15 and most T14 Spells are better than it (including Ghost Trap from the recent Ghostbusters community challenge), but this item is definitely notable for being a non-Spell Accessory that’s actually kinda worth thinking about for DI.

From a meta perspective

Desserts are always great options. Their huge HP stat does a lot by itself and it makes premium options always worth considering. Obsidian Lava Cake has Evasion as a secondary stat which is a little odd. It means that Spellcasters don’t really care about it, Rogues and Fighters really like it, and its secondary stat isn’t affected by the Dessert line’s high stat margin. That being said, you also run into a bit of opportunity cost. Many classes that can use Desserts also have Idols in the same slot and don’t want to give those up. If your Rogue or Fighter needs some extra bulk and doesn’t give up an Idol to use a Dessert, then this is a fantastic option. Spellcasters, you’ll get a better Starberry Pie at some point.

• Crafting options are a mixed bag but mostly pretty positive. Usage-wise, most items are pretty solid.
