Painted Pallette is a little unusual in that it’s a Shield that uses Ether instead of Jewels, but that’s about it. It’s otherwise unremarkable as a low tier Wood craft.
Usage-wise, it’s a Shield with Attack secondary. It’ll be useful for levelling Velites, attacking Fighters, and maybe Clerics / Geomancers but that’s about it. You usually have much better options available.
From a crafting perspective
First item of a new tier! It’s alright. end credits jingle~
OK, OK. The Pain Brush is a little unusual because it uses two Timewarped components whereas most other options use one Timewarped / one normal. Otherwise it’s a fairly standard T15 craft. Resource cost is about average and the Essence cost can be reduced to 9.
It’s a decent option for DI, since it has a Defense secondary. If you missed Pollux Focus or Electrifying Microphone from their respective recent packs, this item is top 10 and will be a good option.
From a meta perspective
It’s a Staff. Nice to finally have something that’s definitively better than the T13 Scepter of Ever-Wisdom, and the All affinity is really handy. If you have a Spellcaster who’s locked into Staves, this is a great option. Otherwise there’s not much to say.

From a crafting perspective
Ring of Many Colors is another unusual craft in that this one is a Ring that uses Oil as its primary resource. It makes perfect sense thematically but is odd. The Essence cost can drop to 8 with Ascension which is nice. Otherwise it’s nothing special.
For DI, say it with me class: “It’s an Accessory that’s not a Spell”. I know this is a bit of an overused joke of ours, but Spells are so meta-defining in DI that every other item in the Accessory slot is basically irrelevant.
That said, this item is a great demonstration of this principle so let’s use it as an example. Defense is a great stat for DI and is one of the most valuable ones behind CHC and Evasion. Additionally, Rings are a pretty good Accessory for Attack in general (also a valuable DI stat). Despite both of those things though, Ring of Many Colors doesn’t even crack the top 50 Accessory items – and it’s beaten out by the T11 Sealed Declaration (not by a small margin either).
From a Meta perspective
If your Ring user needs some bulk, then this is a decent option. It beats out Greenlight Ring. Otherwise, Serene Tide is better for raw damage (even on non-crit builds). That 5% CHC is a really big deal.
From a crafting perspective
Keeping with this pack’s theme of rather unusual resource requirements, Aura of Inspiration uses the pre and post Timewarped versions of the same component – along with being an Aurasong that uses Oil as its primary resource. Essence can drop down to 9 which is nice.
We can skip the DI note because Aurasongs can’t be donated to the Airship.
From a Meta perspective
This is the new best Aurasong. Its Aura effect is pretty comparable to the baseline crafted Aura of Transmutation, but it has a secondary stat (HP too, which is great) AND it has an All affinity. Definitely replace the Aura of Storms on all Champions with it. (Transmutation also beats out Aura of Storms BTW – you can use that one as a “cheaper” option).
That said, there is a Tiny Rex in the room with this one. The HP bonus on it is currently bugged and is way stronger than it’s supposed to be. The Aura effect is supposed to grant 8% max HP to the party, but it’s instead granting 80%. You might notice that these numbers are just a liiiiittle bit different.

Reiga’s Argon has nearly double his normal amount of HP in a quest due to this bug.
This bug is almost certainly going to be fixed in an upcoming patch, but it’s super helpful right now to help ease you into the Ancient Jungle. Please note that the ratings / assessments in this Impackt are being made without considering the bug1.

Summary
- Not amazing, but a good start to the T15 era.
- Staff users can finally drop their T13. Ring users will probably stick to Serene Tide until T16.
- Aura of Inspiration is bugged in the best way but will still be great even after that gets fixed.
- “Pain” / “paint” pun.
