Impackt: Cozy Comforts

Oh nuts

Mega Pack

Grandma’s Teapot (T14 Potion)
Squirrel Spirit (T7 Spirit)
Vegetable Patch (Outdoor Decoration)
Drying Harvest (Wall Decoration)
Hardworker’s Kerchief / Dress & Apron (Avatar Items)

Blueprints

The resource combination of Oil / Leather is unusual so it might be tricky to fit this into your crafting rotation. Component cost is a little steep requiring 10, but that can be reduced to 8 – plus it’s a Howling Woods component so that’s not as bad.

It’s very unusual to have a Spirit in a premium pack, so this is very welcome for Ascension fodder. Squirrel has some interesting use cases as well. It looks like a baby Lion, but it’s closer to Cat due to the 2% Evasion. This will help bridge the gap between Cat and Carbuncle for Rogues who need the extra Evasion. It’s also pretty funny that Rogues now have two great T7 spirit options (Lizard being the other) while Fighters and Spellcasters are still stuck with zero.

From a crafting perspective

Essence cost drops down to 6 with Ascension which is very manageable. The component cost is pretty good as well. This is a decent Herb craft if you missed Sumptuous Roses last time don’t worry, this won’t be the first time that item comes up.

For DI, it’s an Accessory that’s not a Spell.

From a meta perspective

Potions are in kind of a weird spot where most classes who can use them are Fighters. This inherently makes any Potion with Attack on it automatically a pretty niche choice. If your Musketeer or any offense-focused Fighter is not already using Protein Shake or they could use the boost, they will make decent use of Grandma’s Teapot (man that’s a weird phrase to type…). Everybody else, skip it. especially spellblades since potions are completely dead to them anyway

Superior Pack

Lone Flowerpot (T14 Herbal Medicine)
Cozy Drapes (Wallpaper)
Well-worn Tiles (Flooring)

From a crafting perspective

Just like Grandma’s Teapot in the Mega pack, this is a perfectly fine Herb craft. This one requires a Sigil which can be annoying, but at least it gives you something to actually do with your Sigils now that we don’t need them for every craft. Plus the Sigil cost can be Ascended off so it’s not all bad. Other than that, this is about even with Grandma’s Teapot in terms of crafting.

For DI, it’s an Accessory that’s not a Spell.

From a Meta perspective

We have another modern-day Swan’s Edge moment, last seen in the Fire & Ice pack we had a few months ago. The literal last pack had an Herbal Medicine in it. I guess this one isn’t a direct upgrade at least.

Your choice of Lone Flowerpot, Sumptuous Roses, or Eternal Bonsai comes down to personal preference. Flowerpot is the best for Attack, Roses for HP, and Bonsai for a mix. If you’re already using one of the other two Herbs and happy with it, I wouldn’t bother switching to this – unless you sim it and it helps you clear something more reliably than using one of the other options.

Summary

  • Another modern day Swan’s Edge moment with Lone Flowerpot
  • New lower tier Spirits are always inter- SQUIRREL!!!
  • Maybe someday we’ll actually get that T14 premium Wand

Final Score

Mega Pack: 6/10
Superior Pack: 6/10
