Impackt: New Year 2025

“Fireworks”? No it doesn’t.

Mega Pack

Blaze of Glory (T14 Spear)
Starlight Fingers (T6 Gloves)
2025 Fireworks (Outdoor Decoration)
Disco Ball (Wall Decoration)
2025 Glasses / Firework Gloves (Avatar Items)

Blueprints

Great option for both Ascension and levelling heroes. This is the first T6 Gloves with a secondary stat and it’s always nice to see more options like this. The Component cost is pretty low, requiring only three Moon Crystals (down to two with Ascension).

From a crafting perspective

It’s pretty standard. Essence cost can drop down to six which is about average. Upside is that it doesn’t require any Elysium components, needing two Void ones instead.

Most of the resource reductions are in the Mastery track, but that means that the craft time reduction one requires Ascension. It’s a mixed bag there.

From a meta perspective

It’s a Spear, so it’s automatically a bit niche since this is one of the weaker weapon types and very few classes can actually use it. We just got One-Winged Halberd recently and that will usually be a better option thanks to its HP secondary stat. If you have a Barbarian / Chieftain who’s locked into Spears or if your Spear user needs some extra Defense, then this will work but otherwise just stick to OWH or any other weapon option.

Superior Pack

Star of the Show (T14 Amulet)
Colorful Fireworks (Wallpaper)
Dance Floor (Flooring)

Blueprints

From a crafting perspective

While this is yet another Metal craft, there’s surprisingly a lot of upsides here. It only needs four resources instead of the typical five and no Jewels / Ether at all.

From a Meta perspective

This one is a case that’s pretty similar to Tesla Prototype. By itself, this is a pretty nice item. We haven’t had an Amulet with Attack on it since Platinum Insignia back in T13 so it fills a useful role.

The issue is that it has so much competition that you’ll likely never actually use it.

  • Monks / Velites get huge value out of Torc of Peace’s amazing defensive utility (Gold Medal is a good defensive option for other classes).
  • Offensively, the CHC offered by Bleakspire Charm is probably going to be a better option unless you’re at extremely high CHC anyway. Additionally, most classes who can use an Amulet often have a better item type in the same spot (usually Ring / Quiver).

It’s not like it’s a bad item by any stretch, but you definitely need a very good and specific reason to use it. In those rare cases, it will perform well. For most applications though, skip it.

Flooring/Wallpaper

Summary

  • Two T14 items that aren’t necessarily bad, but you need a really good reason to use them.
  • What’s the opposite of a “bang”? That’s what we’re ringing in the new year with, apparently.
  • number of item lines that have received three premium or artifact items before we get a t14 wand: six

Final Score

Mega Pack: 4/10
Superior Pack: 5/10
