Impackt: Nilean Dynasty

No Tombs were Raided in the production of this review

Mega Pack

Sacred Scarab (T13 Ring)
Canopic Jar (T7 Potion)
Sarcophagus (Decoration)
Sacred Scarab (Wall Decoration)
Nilean Noble Hair/Nilean Noble Robes (Avatar Items)

Blueprints

Nothing worth noting.

From a crafting perspective

It’s a metal item, Plasma Saber exists etc etc. Whilst it has no way to lower its essence cost it is nice to see it back to 6 instead of 7 – essentially the reduction has been baked in freeing up a milestone for another reduction (yes it’d be nice if we had got the baseline of 5 from the earlier t13 stuff but hey an improvement is an improvement.)

We’ve had so many metal items recently honestly just pick whatever you’re in the mood for, maybe decide by most meta use so you can sell for higher on market.

For DI it’s a ring, it ain’t got a snowballs chance in Hell of being worth using for it.

From a meta perspective

A new best-in-slot ring, used everywhere where the classes can afford the affinity to spare. It’s really loved by Praetorians as it frees them from having to run double dawn thief items. Bishops are also a major fan if they wish to go a more offensive route (swap this in to replace Dragon Sacred Gem.)

Decorations

Avatar Items

Superior Pack

Banner of Nilea (T13 Cloak)
Nilean Dawn (T13 Axe)
Hieroglyphs (Wallpaper)
Nilean Tiles (Flooring)

This is better than the mega pack ring in that it uses steel instead of jewel which has a faster regen rate.

From a Meta perspective

Axes (along with a few other weapon types) struggle to find a place for best-in-slot lists because of their disappointingly low attack values. They normally only manage to find a spot by having an affinity that was lacking there before but the Nilean Dawn is not bringing anything new to the table.

In short, nope.

From a crafting perspective

Hey it’s a non-metal print! The nicest of the tier 13 items in this set in terms of crafting (and again we see base 6 essence with no reduction options.) Not a bad option for your crafting rotation, though if you picked up the Voidwalker print from the last superior pack you may wish to stick with that instead.

Whilst thematically the silk scarab use in this pack is on point it is causing some Precious Shells flashbacks.

From a Meta perspective

An alternative for Bishops if you wanted to keep on the defence the Banner of Nilea2 is a straight upgrade from the Dragon Sacred Gem. This is quite a nice cloak in general so long as you can work it in around any affinity you might have to trade off for using it.

Flooring/Wallpaper

Summary

  • The wallpaper I have been longing for.
  • Now I need some new rack skins to match it please Kabam.
  • A new best-in-slot ring and cloak.
  • Praetorians finally get to be free from one of the dawn thief pieces.

Final Score

Mega Pack: 8/10
Superior Pack: 8/10
Pharaoh Rei’s Rating: 11/10
