Impackt: Porcelain

Fragile, This Side Up

Mega Pack

Kintsugi Armor (T15 Light Armor)
Kintsugi Beak (T6 Rogue Hat)
Porcelain Tea Set / Teacup Chair (Indoor Decoration)
Cup ‘o Tea / Porcelain Mask (Avatar Items)

Blueprint

From a crafting perspective

Kintsugi Beak is a little unusual, requiring Iron and Fabric. This can make it a little awkward to fit into a crafting rotation. The Rustwyrm Scale cost is a little high at 6, but can be reduced to 4.

Attack secondary Rogue Hats are about average for DI.

From a meta perspective

Kintsugi Beak being a low tier / levelling item with an offensive secondary stat, it’s decent but you’ll probably rather use Lovely Hat for its HP secondary stat instead.

From a crafting perspective

Kintsugi Armor is a little more expensive than usual to craft, as well as needing a slightly odd resource combo of Leather and Steel. It requires 12 Essence instead of the normal 11 and has the same -2 reduction on the Ascension track, putting it to 10 when fully upgraded as opposed to the more normal 9. The Timewarped component cannot be reduced.

It’s a surprisingly solid choice for DI. If you missed Princely Attire or Sia’s Fancy Outfit, this will serve you well.

From a meta perspective

Not only is Kintsugi Armor our third premium T15 Light Armor item, all three of them have different secondary stats and fill different roles. That’s great because it means all three are relevant.

  • Kintsugi Armor is the safest option. HP secondary is always useful. If you’re not sure what T15 Light Armor to use, go with this one.
  • Sia’s Fancy Outfit is good if you really need to get some extra Evasion and can afford to lose a little HP or offensive punch.
  • Go with Princely Attire if you know for sure your Rogue can survive the quest without a secondary defensive stat on one item.

Superior Pack

Rod of Porcelain (T15 Wand)
Unbroken Signet (T15 Ring)
Porcelain Cuckoo (Wall Decoration)
Porcelain Attire (Avatar Item)
Porcelain Tile / Porcelain Wall (Flooring / Wallpaper)

Blueprints

From a crafting perspective

As with the other items in this pack, Rod of Porcelain has a little bit of an unusual resource combo – Wood and Steel here. Otherwise it’s an unremarkable T15 craft.

Wands are generally pretty great for DI, especially with a useful secondary stat like Defense. This is one of the better Weapon options for the event that doesn’t have CHC on it.

From a Meta perspective

Rod of Porcelain is a sidegrade to Eclipsed Wand. If your Spellcaster needs more HP, go with Eclipsed. If you need a little extra Defense, Porcelain.

From a crafting perspective

Unbroken Signet (ironically) breaks the theme of this pack and uses a more normal resource combo – Steel and Jewels here. Four Timewarped components is a little high but can be reduced to three. Essence starts at the normal 11, but can drop to 8 which is nice. This is a decent craft overall.

Rings are kinda awful for DI. A T11 Spell (Sealed Declaration) beats this by a significant margin.

From a Meta perspective

Just like Rod of Porcelain and Eclipsed Wand from earlier, Unbroken Signet is also kind of a sidegrade to Ring of Many Colors. That said, RoMC is generally going to be the better choice despite having Defense as a secondary stat instead of Unbroken Signet’s HP. A lot of heroes who would be using a Ring usually have tons of good options for bonus HP or they have access to Idols in the same slot. It’s an unusual case where an HP secondary Ring (normally a really strong item type) surprisingly doesn’t have as many use cases as you would think. Power creep takes no prisoners.

Summary

  • Crafts are unusual but inoffensive. Usage-wise, these items are generally sidegrades to options that have come before.
  • We’re approaching that point in a tier’s life cycle where the items are starting to have higher base stats than normal. Kintsugi Armor has better Defense than its T15 contemporaries (and is a pricier craft because of it) but Rod of Porcelain and Unbroken Signet do not.
  • This pack might be a little niche, but if it’s what you’re looking for, it will fit you to a tea.
