Crafting is really nice since it only has one component cost and that one is pretty cheap. Otherwise it’s a generic low tier item.
Being a lower tier Meal is unfortunately not as nice as it used to be since the Ascension track was changed to match that of the premium item lines. This was a really good change, but it means that Meals used for Ascension fodder lost a lot of value in the trade.
From a crafting perspective
“Essence cost is a little high at 7 after Ascension. The component cost is pretty manageable and we have a non-metal item for a nice change of pace.” This is exactly the same description we gave to the Betrayer’s Hands in the last pack, but hey, it’s not plagiarism if you’re stealing from yourself.
For DI, don’t bother. It barely cracks the top 15 weapons and there are plenty of better options, including a couple from Content Passes – Final Death, Ironclad Grapple, and the currently active Twin Fangs (check out the Contackt we recently put out for thoughts on that one).
From a meta perspective
Maces are one of the weakest weapon types in the game along with Spears, Daggers, and Axes. Any item from those four lines needs some special sauce to stand out and this one does not have that (especially since three of those lines can also be hilariously outclassed by Dual Wield items).
It’s a direct upgrade over Forsaken Censer from a couple months ago and kind of a sidegrade to Lordly Scepter. If you’re already using either of those (and are locked into Maces), I wouldn’t bother switching to this. It’s going to be blown away the instant we get a Mace compatible Dual Wield item.

True Love (Wallpaper)
True Love (Flooring)
Blueprints
From a crafting perspective
Essence drops to a very manageable 5, this upgrade is early in the Mastery track, it only costs one component, it requires four total resources, no T2 resource required, and it’s not a metal item. This is a fantastic Herb craft.
For DI, it’s an Accessory that’s not a Spell.
From a Meta perspective
Sumptuous Roses is a great sidegrade to the baseline crafted Eternal Bonsai. Even though the two items have the same base Attack stat, Bonsai comes out on top because of the All affinity. This item wins out on HP despite the loss of Affinity, so it’s mostly a question of if you need more HP or Attack. If you need more Attack, then Bonsai. More HP, go with Roses. If you’re already running Bonsai and have no survivability problems, then I’d keep it.
