The v14.2 update this is week, which means it is time for another pack giveaway. I know there are a LOT of big changes in this update, and for a detailed breakdown checkout our v14.2 Update Guide, or Kabam’s release notes.

It may be silly but the thing I am most excited about in this update is the resource regen rate being displayed in-game. It means I can finally add resource data to the shop sim (see below), and I can do other fun calculations with the regen rate.

Since I am so excited about having the regen rate in-game my giveaway questions are going to be focused around this feature. Fear not, for I am not Archon, even though my questions may seem daunting anyone familiar with my giveaways will know that I give plenty of hints along the way so keep your eyes peeled.

There are two giveaways on this page – you can enter both if you wish.

Giveaway #1: Office Mega Pack

Note: If you do not own a standard tier 9 blueprint the tier 13 blueprint will be replaced with chests and keys. Standard in this case refers to blueprints that require research scrolls to unlock.

Lets take a look at the Mausoleum. It is the newest resource building in the game. The Mausoleum generates Essence for crafting T13 items, and has some painfully slow regen rates. Without any

Guild Perks,
Guild Boosts,
Essence bins above lv15, or
Titan Ascension lines (maxed ascension lines),

a level 13 Mausoleum only regenerates Essence at a rate of 6 per hour or 1 every 10 minutes.

NOTE: For this giveaway the talents that modify the regen rate were not included as a regen rate modifier.

With how slow the Essence regen rate is the developers decided to display the resource’s base regen rate (on the Mausoleum building’s details) in hours instead of minutes.

As I mentioned in the Mega Pack giveaway above, for a level 13 Mausoleum the base Essence regen rate (without any bonuses) is 6 per hour.

With a level 13 Mausoleum, without any regen bonuses, how many minutes does it take to regenerate 1 Essence?

Coming Eventually

With the resource regen rates being available in-game once v14.2 is officially released, I have been working on refining my regen calculations. Once I have the formula for rss regen nailed down I can start adding Resources tracking to my Shop Sim tool on STC-Hub!

It is too early for a sneak peek, but I hope to get one out to everyone soon.

Mega Pack: How many different bonuses modify the resource regen rate?

The expected answer for this giveaway was “Four (4)“
However, their are actually two other sources for resource regen, that were not included. Those are:
- the “Resource Fest & Loot Frenzy” modifier event, and
- the “Tamas Alliance, City United, Mystical Friendship, and Waking the Dead” talents.
I did exclude the talents intentionally to avoid confusion around them counting all together as 1 or separately as 4, but my sleep deprived brain admittedly did overlook the mini-event. However it still worked out since neither “Five (5)” or “Six (6)” were available options.

Superior Pack: With a level 13 Mausoleum, without any regen bonuses, how many minutes does it take to regenerate 1 Essence?

“I entered the giveaway twice by accident!”
-I’m aware the system isn’t exactly flawless when it comes to entries – so long as they’re within a few minutes of each other I’ll just disregard the duplicate. If it’s longer than that (say a day for example) contact me before it ends so I can fix it, otherwise you’ll be disqualified.

-I am aware of the subjective nature of this, and if you have to ask I am pretty sure I will find it inappropriate or offensive. Regardless of your opinion on your entry I reserve the right to disqualify any entry for any reason I choose, and will exercise that right as I see fit.
-A good litmus test would be whether or not you would say it in front of a group of school children, in a courtroom while on trial, or to your parents/loved ones.
