Your guide to the gameplay changes in 18.4
Obligatory Legal Notice: As part of the Kabam Creator Program we were given the chance to preview the update before it went live which is where the below images were taken.
Rei Note: Yes, the images might not look neat and stuff. The amount of errors this post gave me I had long stopped caring and just wanted it to work.
Introduction
Welcome to 18.4, home of the next content pass, a new paid gem source, an easier way to obtain antiques, a vending machine buff and some pretty nice quality of life changes. Let’s get started.
Shop Titans Content Pass
Aren’t all content passes shop titans content passes?
This year’s spring pass takes the form of a Shop Titans themed one and 3 new blueprints await this time around:
Other cool stuff on the track this time includes shards x lots. and a champion titan soul:
- It’s another 5,100 points to fully complete all tasks
- As always it is 1,500 gems for the premium side of the pass
- Some of the shard rewards you see in the pictures above will actually be blueprints, they just turned into shards because I already own them.
And as for the tasks this time around we’re looking at:
- Nothing super intensive.
- RIP that one person who insists on soloing.
Collection Book Improvements
You can now buy antique blueprints directly through the collection book, instead of needing to hope for them to appear in King’s Caprice. Tapping an unowned print in your collection book will either tell you how to find it, allow you to purchase it, or if it’s not yet eligible for purchase how long you need to wait.
Gem Fountain
In the interests of extracting more money and inflating active daily user count we now have the Gem Fountain – a 30 day subscription that gives you 500 gems upfront then 50 gems a day with the catch that if you miss a day, the gems you paid for that day are lost.

Superior Packs
Superior Packs now have more blueprints and items in them, because nothing says fun like making more work for impackts :P. We don’t know if the price has changed for them at this moment in time. Gut instinct is probably.
Talent Tree Refunds
You can now individually refund talents on the talent tree, instead of having to blank out reset it each time. The cost to reset a point is now 50 gems. Useful for things like the questing tree where you can spec into the LCoG talent when it’s running and then back out without needing to blow up your tree.
Vending Machine Buff
The Vending Machine has been buffed to try and make it less ick. It now offers a lot more energy making it worth a spot in your shop even if you don’t use its other feature of selling items when offline.

Guild Choice Visual
It’s now really obvious which city building has the guild choice buff on it.

Miscellaneous Changes
- Blueprints in the antique store at 10% cheaper so it still has an edge over the new collection book option.
- The grab bag star bag bug is fixed :-(
- Market filters are fixed again. Let’s see how long for :P.
And that about covers it. Nothing super substantial this month, go forth and buy fountains. :P

RIP Bilbo Baggins, our Keybearer. You shall be missed. If only I knew of ye sooner :(
“RIP…” triggered a snort-laugh.
yep this is what I was looking for “when did the vending machine get buffed” because I saw some reddit posts bashing it and I was not sure why till I found some old screenshots and it was __really__ bad, welp
