Your guide to the gameplay changes in 19.0
Obligatory Legal Notice: As part of the Kabam Creator Program we were given the chance to preview the update before it went live which is where the below images were taken.
Introduction
Welcome to 19.0, where we’re going back in time to mess with dinosaurs1, use ancient resources to craft a new tier of items, an update to advanced research, some new worker levels and more. Let’s get started.
Video Guide
There is a short video guide here showing the new stuff if you prefer that instead but I really recommend reading this guide:
Tier 15
The main feature of this update is the introduction of Tier 15. We have a total of 41 new blueprints – 34 for the base crafting lines, 6 from the new dungeon chest and 1 new Mundra blueprint.
Reiga note: I know Kabam have been saying 40 prints all weekend and I think that’s because the Mundra print originally wasn’t ready, but in the latest build we got it’s present and that’s the one going live Tuesday as far as I’m aware. If it isn’t there it’ll most certainly be in 19.1.
No new enchants this tier so far and they’re probably not happening until T16, they like to leave a gap and honestly, what would we even do with them right now.
Anyway, let’s take a look at a Tier 15 blueprint:

The primary worker for tier 15 blueprints is level 38 and we’re still using a 3 worker setup. Advanced Research is back again to help with the craft times and surcharge costs (the craft time in the above image does not have advanced research applied to it.
There’s no new resource this time around either, though we do have some new components that can only be acquired through Timewarp (more on that later in the guide.) Let’s take a look at milestones now:

Nothing really out of the ordinary here, pretty much business as usual. Tier 15 blueprints require only 40 crafts for mastery which means it shouldn’t take you long to get the baseline mastered presuming you can keep up with components/resources. Moving on now to the ascension costs:

What’s nice here is the increase of ascension shard cost was only by 10 (going from 120 to 130) instead of the typical larger jumps we see2. No extension to the ascension track which makes sense given many of them can’t be completed still.

We also see quite a nice jump in gold value when compared to base tier 14 items. You can also see the affinity of the item – that’s new with this patch and it’s incredibly helpful.
Most blueprints require 275 Research Scrolls to unlock (the Dual Wield costs 250, the Aura and Familiar cost 300) so presuming you own all the workers you’ll need 9,650 Research Scrolls to unlock all of the tier 15 blueprints.
Rush & Surcharge Costs

Baseline rushing cost isn’t really unexpected in terms of how much it scaled from tier 14.

And the same applies for the surcharge cost. Bear in mind that number is without advanced research applied so it won’t be quite so bad once you get your tier 15 buff.
Advanced Research
Back once more, Advanced Research can be upgraded to apply to tier 15 items as well. To unlock the upgrade ability you need to have unlocked at least 1 advanced research milestone for that item type already, at which point (after you obtain a tier 15 blueprint for that line) a new upgrade option appears that you can purchase.
This new option will make your advanced research nodes for that line apply to tier 15 as well. Thankfully it’s cheap in terms of research scrolls, but gold on the other hand…:

If you wanted to gem it that’s a pretty decent gem to gold ratio. Presuming you have all the workers and already have at least 1 advanced research node for each line you’d be looking at needing:
1,700 Research Scrolls
136G Gold
To make all Tier 15 lines benefit from advanced research. If we add that to the unlock cost for Tier 15 blueprints you’ll need 11,350 Research Scrolls in total if doing all unlocks without gems.
Ancient Jungle
Ancient Jungle is our hunting ground for tier 15 and requires merchant level 66 to unlock. Costwise, not quite as high as we had thought:

5G more than Elysium cost to unlock at T14 launch3 so not near 25G as we had presumed. Which is cool, means we might see 20G for T16.
The barriers for the jungle are the 3 elements we didn’t use last tier so we got Air, Fire, and Light for the components and Fire for the boss itself:

In terms of drops this is roughly what we’re looking at:
- Easy – T12 to T13
- Medium – T13
- Hard – T13
- Extreme – T13 to T14 (primarily T14)
Reiga note: Polonia can make T14 drop on Medium and Hard and can make T15 drop on Extreme (remember her ability has 2 parts – she doesn’t just steal, she also buffs the other slots.)
Timewarped Components
Unique to the Ancient Jungle, Timewarped Components are a special type of component used in crafting tier 15 items. To obtain them you’ll need to bring some modern day components (as in, components from previous dungeons) into the past with you and convert them.
The first time you go to start a quest in the Ancient Jungle you’ll be presented with the following tutorial:
On the quest setup screen you’ll see the info button that’s usually in the lower left corner has been replaced with a Timewarp button:

Tapping the Timewarp button will bring up a list of components you can choose from to warp. This list is the same each time – think of this tier as having 9 unique crafting components instead of the traditional 3, just you have to pay older components to make 6 of them. This is the menu that appears when you push it:

The quantity of the chosen component you can warp is affected by difficulty – higher difficulties can convert a higher quantity:
- If you fail the quest you get nothing (components are consumed regardless if you win or lose.)
- Quest level 9 increases the amount by 40%. Quest level 16 increases it by a further 30%.
- Common Farmer does not affect how many timewarped components you receive.
- Sia’s Champion ability does increase the amount you receive.
- Bugles also increase the amount you receive.
- Sia’s Touch (the talent) can trigger on them and give you double the amount4.
- Minibosses will also give you a greater amount of timewarped components.
- Thank God it’s not sigils.
New Worker Levels
The max level for workers has now been increased to level 50 (which also means their buildings have a new max level as well.) Note that this is only for workers – the resource buildings did not gain extra levels so relax, you don’t need to worry about levelling up your mausoleum further if you had it capped already.
The new worker levels only apply to tier 15 and higher blueprints – they won’t speed up lower tier ones any further. Probably for the best in terms of balance.

Miscellaneous Changes
- The Item Display tab now includes much needed information such as affinities, what item types a dual wield is classed as and the rules for quivers (needing to have a ranged weapon equipped and their +bonus to bows.)
- Sigils are now much easier to make – they now only need components from the related quest zone and some moonstones

- The levels required for equipping tiers to a hero and accessing tiers on the market have been rebalanced to accommodate Tier 15 – you need to be level 65 to see it on the market and heroes need to be level 38 to equip.
- Alongside the new building levels many city buildings were rebalanced to require less ticks than before to upgrade (though you’ll still need more ticks overall to reach the new levels.)
And that about covers it. Go forth and craft items made from materials that were created by interfering with the flow of time. Feel free to swing by our discord if you have questions about anything we wrote here/wanted to ask about the update.

Appendix: Data Tables
Precrafts
There are none this tier, or at least none for baseline and chest prints. Pack blueprints might get them but for now there’s none. What a nice change.
Ancient Jungle Stats
Building Levels And Equal Share Threshholds

- always a danger when taking a wormhole when there’s solar flares
- I mean it’d be nice if it didn’t increase at all but hey it’s a start
- Elysium’s unlock cost is reduced to 5G in this update. Rip ninjamel.
- this was actually bugged at one point on the beta and gave triple, sadly that bug is fixed for live
