Your guide to the gameplay changes in 20.2
Obligatory Legal Notice: As part of the Kabam Creator Program we were given the chance to preview the update before it went live which is where the below images were taken.
Introduction
It’s a small update this time around, though the advantage of that means it’s much less work to cover everything :P. Let’s jump right in.
Community Events
Community Events are now integrated into the game itself rather than having to rely on visiting the official site when they’re running. When a community event is running there’ll be a new button you can press to view it which you can see at the bottom here:

Let’s take a look at the first event that’ll be using this new system – Save Argon! Tapping the button brings up the new community event interface:

So on this screen we can see the reward track and the amounts needed to hit each goal, the grand prize, and the community’s current live progress. Tapping the small i symbol in the top left corner brings up a quick summary of community events:

Pressing on View Tasks will show you what needs to be done to progress the current event, how many points each task will earn, and your current personal contribution:

And no, we still don’t know what the petrified coins are for. Ancient stone vending machine perhaps?
Collection Card Changes
🎶Déjà vu, I’ve just been in this place before 🎶
In what was meant to be in update 20.1 but got pulled just moments before it went live there are now level 1 effects for the chase cards that did not have one. Here is a list of these effects – it’s basically just a weaker version of their level 2 effect with the exception of Oscar:
- Elder Owen: +1 Furniture Slot
- Maya: +2% maximum energy
- Naya: 10% chance to lose no energy on small talk failure
- Oscar: Oscar will bring twice the amount of items
- Reinhold: King Reinhold buys items at 6x value
- Theodore: +2% bonus multicraft chance for all items
Miscellaneous Changes
- The reward track for LCoG should no longer pop up every time you complete a quest in there.
- Titan Admiral Boots and Titan Admiral Arms now use Essence instead of Ether, making them match the standard high tier format (usually it’s just LCoG blueprints that are exempt from Essence.)
And that about covers it. Let’s go unstone Argon! Or not, it’d be way funnier if we kept him like this:

Does Argon attack while petrified? Can he evade attacks?
He still attacks and works like normal yeah, just he has no animation.
So how do we get more petrified coins in order to get Malady?
