Your guide to the gameplay changes in 22.1
Obligatory Legal Notice: As part of the Kabam Creator Program we were given access to a preview build of the update before it went live which is where the below images were taken.
NOTE: Some of the values shown in this post may be changed between this preview and the live update.
Introduction
Welcome to 22.1, home of the ghostbusters collobaration (I know right we’re actually getting another collab.) This update is basically just that and some bug fixes so if you don’t want spoilers or anything you can skip this post. :P
Slimer in the City!
Rei Note: Kabam have implemented quite a few suggestions the community gave after the last event – there’s introduction dialogue from the NPC’s, more sensible task scoring, etc. It doesn’t feel like a disconnected event now.
Slimer in the City! is a new community event that will be running from October 28th until November 14th. During this time the city is being invaded by ghosts which Zolea asks us to help deal with (not including herself cause that’d be awkward.)
Much like the Save Argon event there are tasks to be done which will earn points towards a grand prize. Let’s look at what this event requires us to do:

During the event there will be a special flash quest available where you can do battle against Slimer, who has invaded various dungeons from the game and it falls to us to chase him out:

Lootwise it drops some components (components are based on difficulty chosen, on extreme it’s guaranteed to drop timewarped components which is pretty cool) as well as stacks of items (including premium items and chest blueprints) and also has a chance to drop stacks of quality items and ascension shards:
You have an infinite amount of tries on this quest so don’t worry if you end up picking something too difficult, you haven’t lost a limited attempt at it.
All the points earnt from doing the flash quest and crafting with the components listed in the tasks will advance the community event bar which has some slightly more exciting stuff than the previous event:
Hopefully this’ll go a lot better than Save Argon did. :D
Rei Note: Sadly this collab does not include the Ghostbusters theme but you can whistle or hum it at least when questing. :P
Ghostbusters Content Pass
Rei Note: because Kabam needs to inflate the active player count we ain’t getting a break from passes – if we get a Christmas one like normal it’ll be 3 passes back-to-back1.
The Ghostbusters Content Pass runs from October 28th to November 24th. As usual we’ll start by looking at the new blueprints added by the pass:
And now for the reward track:
The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is probably my favourite decoration in a long time:

And finally let’s look at the tasks:
Miscellaneous Changes
- Roxanne is on a 50% discount until 24th November which puts her at a much more sensible pricing point.
- The webstore has cheaper Naya packs and sells better ratios of ascension shards/dragonmarks/champion coins.
- “Fixed an issue where the Reward screen was always opening after completing a Lost City of Gold quest” yeah we’ve heard that before :P.
- On The House! tokens now have a confirmation prompt when you try to use one:

And that about covers it. Go forth and bust ghosts!

Appendix: Haunted Dungeons Data

Rei Note: I’m confident that Medium drop table is bugged and should be something like Tiers 4-6 given its difficulty but hey if they don’t patch it enjoy the boost early game players.

“You have an infinite amount of tries on this quest” are you saying that it’s essentially just a regular quest that’s active for the duration of the event? Can you send more than one party to it at a time?
You can send multiple parties yeah.
Whilst yes it’s essentially a regular quest available for the event the game counts it as a flash quest – this distinction is important as it affects certain mechanics (like the talent in the questing tree which reduces flash quest time.)
