Update 26.9 Overview

A guide to the gameplay changes in Update 26.9

Obligatory Legal Notice: As part of the Kabam Creator Program I was given access to a preview build of the update before it went live which is where the below images were taken.

The pictures shown were obtained from an early build, not indicative of the release version, and subject to change.

Introduction

Welcome to 26.9 – home of champion buffs, the next community event, another content pass and another login calendar. Try to contain your excitement.

Champion Changes

Donovan, Hemma, and Rudo have all received buffs (and in Hemma’s case a rework too) in this update.

Donovan

Rei Note: If you’re thinking Donovan was fine before apparently he’s one of the lowest picked champions hence him getting a buff.

Rudo

The duration of his critical hit chance buff was extended cause 4 rounds wasn’t cutting it in current content.

Rank 4: 3 rounds (was 2)
Rank 7: 4 rounds (was 3)
Rank 11: 6 rounds (was 4)

Hemma

Hemma receives another (this isn’t her first one) rework in this update. We see a return of her draining every hero in the party instead of just a single member, an increase to how much she buffs the party’s health by and a change to how her attack scales as it now includes the health she drained.

Let’s take a quick look at her damage output now. This is her in a party with a tank Death Knight, Lord, and Praetorian:

Rei Note: Hemma’s base critical hit chance has been increased from 5% to 30%.

Kabam have said they will monitor her in case the killing-your-own-team part needs tweaking. Still think it’s weird the “necromancer” is all to do with blood/life stuff and zero hints of skeletons/zombies/etc.

Unlikely Alliance Community Event

Unlikely Alliance is the next community event and runs from 10th September until 14th September.

And here’s the reward track:

Wizard Assembly Content Pass

Runs from 14th September until 4th October.

Blueprints

Donovan’s Experiment

Archwizard Attire

Grimar’s Starcaller

Reward Track

Tasks

Magical Studies Login Calendar

A new login calendar will be running from 26th September until 5th October. The final reward is a blueprint but I do not have the details for it.

Rei Note: the fix to the login calendar issue we saw with the Soular Flair one is they’ve made it incredibly big going forwards. Should prevent it from happening again.

Miscellaneous Changes

  • All quest zones from Chronos Ruins onwards are now cheaper to unlock.
  • Quality should work correctly now for transcended stats.
  • Unclaimed event rewards are now automatically claimed when the event ends presuming you login within 90 days of the event ending:

And that about covers everything. Pretty small update this time round, go forth and have fun. Or don’t, I can’t make you :P.

Care to explain how does your Lord have 41,500 HP? Because even with every Legendary HP gear fully transcended and starforged, the max I can reach is 10,110. I doubt Hemma’s champion skill and Aurasong can give over 300% buff to HP, right?

I’m not saying your showcase is biased or trying to make Hemma look busted or anything. Just curious.

That’s my death knight that has 41.5k HP. Be nice if I could get a Lord to that amount but it ain’t happening as they can’t use idols, let alone double idol.
Same build I post everytime someone asks what’s my main tank for Terror Tomb:

As for the party comp it’s the same kind of comp I usually run with Hemma, just happens to be buffed more with her rework but I normally run triple tank in her teams for standard questing (so not tomb, though it’ll be interesting to see how she fares in there with such a setup now.)
