The vending machine can be bought using 1,500 gems and each player can have one and only one vending machine. It can store every single item line in the game even though the in-game screenshots only show certain weapon lines.

The main appeal of the vending machine is that it will automatically sell items while the player is offline at an interval depending on the level of the vending machine, starting at one item every 60/55/50/40 minute for levels 1/6/11/16+ respectively.

The vending machine also has a chance of surcharging the customer for sales at a 5%/10%/15%/20% chance of triggering the surcharge at levels 1/6/11/16+ respectively. The game doesn’t tell you this, but your max energy needs to be higher than the cost of surcharging the item you put in the vending machine. Note that you only need that amount of energy, but the vending machine won’t actually use any energy when surcharging customers.

The other major thing to note about the vending machine, is that it has double the energy of a normal rack of the same level.

Is the Vending Machine worth it?

The answer? Yes and no. It really depends on the player! The vending machine IS worth getting eventually, but it is a low priority item for you to spend your gems on. It depends on your game stage! Here’s a flow chart:

Just in case you’re not able to read or understand the flowchart, if you really want it then buy it! If you’re looking for “optimal” or “min-max” then you should only buy it AFTER you get all 9 shop expansions and you were planning on gemming individual furniture slots after that (Yes, there are still furniture slots to be unlocked even after getting all shop expansions)

Tips & Tricks for the Vending Machine

You can hide rare items inside the vending machine you don’t want to sell to the king

• This means that anything you put inside the vending machine cannot be seen or bought by the king. Why do this when you can just lock the item? Well, it’s annoying to go through your inventory to lock everything then unlock it afterwards! Wouldn’t the item get sold? Well, yes but you’re only doing this if you planned on selling the item in the first place.

Items inside the vending machine do not take up inventory space.

• If you’re running low on inventory space and a customer wants to sell you something you cannot buy, you can put some items into the vending machine to free up inventory space and buy the item from the customer.

FAQ About the Vending Machine

Question: Can the vending machine sell things while I’m online?
Answer: No, the vending machine cannot sell things while you are online. It can only sell things while you are offline

Question: What is the capacity of the vending machine?
Answer: 4/8/12 items for levels 1/6/11+ respectively

Question: Will I gain XP from vending machine sales?
Answer: Yes, you should be getting full XP from vending machine sales including all the XP boosts such as Evelyn, guild boosts, advanced research (If applicable) unless there’s a bug.

Question: Does the vending machine have to be accessible?
Answer: No, you can put it in somewhere nobody can access and it’ll somehow still have sales.

Question: Does the vending machine take up a furniture slot?
Answer: Yes, it functions as a normal rack so it will take up a furniture slot.

Question: Why can’t I find a certain item I have and put it in the vending machine?
Answer: It’s likely because you either have the item locked or the item is on display on a rack. I would try locking the item to remove it from any racks, then unlock it to let it be accessible to the vending machine.
